If you ask me January of a new year is the deadline to exclaim Happy New year!~ its the first month and the Year hasn't gone in too far... so from me to you: As you make and continue making resolutions like i keep doing, May you be able to meet at least all of them. It’s ‘fall’ season—or so i think. Well that is what I am deciding to call this period when jacaranda trees world over (Okay in the hoods I have been to at least) are shedding their beautiful purple flowers… it’s like walking all over a royalty carpet ( Soo soft too) Scientifically, the trees shed the flowers to signify that a new season of growth is about to occur. In our lives, we go through we can relate this process to those instances where we go through a painful shedding process that makes us wonder just how terrible our season is… but you know what? This is the chance for a Re-birth, Renewal, Regeneration the result; a brand new you :-) Just like a Caterpillar morphs into a beautiful butterfly after struggling out of its 'Shell'  In the same way after we have been broken,  God gives us a new lease to life and a new vision. I have had a rough couple of days where my mind has been a battlefield of sorts. I have been looking at my past, present and future and been grateful to God for this far He has brought me. However even as i reminiscence of  the good, i could not help but also remember the not so good; disappointmnets, let downs, lost dreams ...... it is at  point like this when we are low and weak in our human self that we are supposed to look high above to our Maker, He who has our future in His hands and at whose feet we should lay our burdens. Two days ago ... the 21st  of September (Saturday) i arrived for an event only to find my colleagues deep in conversation about a popular mall in the West of the city being under attack!! The closest i have ever been to such a situation is watching a movie to imagine it was happening a few kilometers away was shuddering to say the least. Reports came in that it was a terrorist attack and the nation came to a standstill! very disturbing photos went viral and we could only hope and pray for all trapped inside. come saturday night...the attackers still held hostages  on the 3rd and 4th Floor of the building. By this time over 50 people had been  declared dead and 175 were in hospital,  among the deceased was a very much loved Journalist and Role Model Ruhila Adatia. . a lady i really looked up to for her reporting and presenting prowess. 48 hours since the attack started and the suspects have niether given up nor released the hostages. We still remain hop...

This is a song that has been blessing my heart and encouraging me to Keep hope alive.  A lot has been going on both good and bad but at times the bad has been over riding on the good hence putting me at a place of desolation and UN-motivation to forge on. Yesterday (22nd June 2012) was a day i made a leap into the unknown, i got courage to step up and make a decision i had been wanting to make since Feb 2012. I am those kind of people who are always concerned about every one else and forget themselves in the pursuit of everyone Else's Happiness. So Yesterday i Submitted my resignation request..... WHOA!!! The feeling i got after is untold...like a caged bird released into the open air. I now look forward to new things a change of environment an ultimately a well deserved break. indeed a change is as good as a rest. Peace is a quality describing a society or relationship that is operating harmoniously without war, friction in society, crime-when peace prevails everything is in order. There are various factors that contribute to lack of peace for example War, political strife, Religious strife, Economical strife, insecurity Social Injustice among others. All these have affected every part of the world. My vision of a peaceful world is a place where everybody is happy no matter which continent, country, or tribe they belong to. A place where I can travel to any part of the world freely with no restrictions whatsoever, a place where every child or adult can sleep without fear of not waking up the next day because of war or death threats, a place where every one has access to justice, social and economic security. To realize this vision I would have to work with other young people like my self putting in mind the proverb unity is strength in trying to bring peace to the world. First would be to preach...

I report to The UON and after 6 days of learning, A strike strikes and my classmates and i are the victims portrayed in the methali: Mtego wa panya hunasa waliomo na wasiokuwemo. We receive a an announcement that the School has been closed indefinataley! those are the words that make dreams die, strong hearts weak and determination going out in wisps of smoke... it was so terrible yaani unaingia shule and before you even know your lectures names and class venues you have to go back home and what for who knows how long.All because kuna uchaguzi uilienda vibaya seriously! and to think that institutions of higher learning is where Kenyans can curb election malpractices! Any-who The break was not as long as some have experienced in the past, some schools have closed for months on end but since God always has a way out for His children we wre back to School after a month. Today 10th May 2010 i will start my classes at Nairobi uni.A BA in Journalism and Media studies.Whoooo! Its been a long time Coming and all i can Say is that God is Faithfull...He does not fail and He makes everything Beautful in His time.

This new year for me started with promise.I have been waiting to go to college ever since i cleared high school in November 2007. It has been a long journey filled with dashed hopes and despair and even at some point i almost gave up. One thing however that always stuck was the Lords Faithfulness. In His word He promises to make everything beautiful in His time. 2010 is BEAUTIFUL! On 16th January i received a call from Zetech asking me to collect my admission letter. WOW if ever there was a moment filled with sooo much Joy, gratitude to God and shouts of Jubilation- it was that one. i was so happy and Thankful to God that He had fulfilled His Promise to me. Unfortunately...or not... i was unable to attend class on the first day since i didn't have my school fees. Here another Miracle happened.
