Though it tarries...

Have you ever waited for something for so long and then gave up and soon after you were *done with that* what you had waited for  for so long comes to pass and then you scold yourself for not being patient enough?

Well that has happened to the best of us.

Where we give up too soon and regret later.

I have been there for most of the past few months (close to one year) where I had got to the point of giving up on getting a new job.

I have prayed, cried..... prayed ........ cried some more and then I told God  I do not have the strength to do this anymore!

...and there just when my own strength had faded He came through in a most amazing way!!

someone I had worked for on a volunteer basis called me back in what I can only say was at the nick of time!

My encouragement to you and myself this day is that no matter how many times we feel like throwing in the towel, to just wait a little longer.

for the Bible says in Habakkuk 2:3

For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.

Be patient for the Lord is faithful to grant us that which He has planned for us.

NEW YEAR , NEW THINGS, NEW OPPORTUNITIES #2016YAY

‪#‎ LongPostAlert‬ ‪#‎ ThanksgivingReport‬ . Last year was one i would refer to as  ‪#‎ Bittersweet‬ . Why? you may ask... Half the year was great, the other half was not soo great. I went through the motions happy, excited, sad, depressed and every thing in between the tow extremes. But the 3 things that remained constant during 2015 were: 1. God of the Mountain is still God in the valley. 2. Family will always stick by you no matter what. 3. Friends , good friends will make the journey much more easier. My Prayer as we welcomed the new year was: "Oh Lord, may 2016 be kinder, May I get a new lease to life and a job" And What Did the Lord do? He surprised me with a Job I had not even Applied for!!! We do serve the God of the Impossible!!!! this job came through a friend who referred me to my now Boss and the random thing is that I was the one who told him about the job he is in currently and now we are colleagues again in a different Organisation.. How C...

Positioned in Goshen – A Place of Provision and Protection.

Genesis 45:10-11 You shall live in the region of Goshen and be near me—you, your children and grandchildren, your flocks and herds, and all you have. I will provide for you there.  The story of Goshen is a powerful reminder of God’s faithfulness, provision, and intentionality in the lives of His people.  When famine swept through Egypt and surrounding lands, Joseph invited his father Jacob and the rest of their family to move to Goshen. This wasn’t a random choice. Goshen was fertile and well-suited for their flocks, and it symbolized God’s ability to sustain His people in times of crisis. Goshen: A Place of Refuge Goshen wasn’t just a geographical location; it was a place of divine positioning. While the rest of Egypt was ravaged by famine, Goshen flourished. God used this place to shield His people, providing them with abundance and protection while fulfilling His promise to make them a great nation. In life, we too experience seasons where we find ourselves in a...

The Cross — A Love So Deep

As Easter draws near, I find myself pausing to reflect on the Cross, not as a symbol of sorrow alone, but of a love so fierce and freeing that it rewrote the course of humanity. The Cross was never an accident. It was always the plan. A place where justice met mercy, where wrath collided with grace. It was the ultimate declaration: You are loved. You are seen. You are worth it. In a world that often measures us by performance, the Cross reminds me that it is finished. Not earned. Not deserved. Just... given. Freely. Lavishly. Eternally. It humbles me. It heals me. It holds me. “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8 (NIV) As the Swahili hymn so beautifully says: “Msalaba ndio asili ya mema, Nikatua mzigo hapo; Nina uzima, furaha daima, Njoni kafurahini papo.” English Translation : The Cross is the fountain of every good thing; I laid my burden there. I have life, I have everlasting j...
